There are almost two million farms in the USA. About 80% of those are small farms, and a large percentage are family owned. Lawrence is home to a diverse and unique collection of farms.

Growing Lawrence is an effort to conveniently connect you to local and fresh produce. Buying local produce not only supports the local economy but its not hard to imagine the many environmental benefits.

In addition, there's just something satisfying about knowing exactly where your food comes from and that it didn't slip through inspections somewhere in route from some other continent.

Finally, we've seen so many people enjoy the experience of visiting our local farms. It's a great family adventure and good clean educational fun.
